Course taught:
From Climate Despair to Joy: Embodying Your Love of Nature

With a master's degree in Environmental Science and another in Social Work, Katie Deuel has worked on building connections all her life--from connecting people to nature, to connecting wildlife populations to each other, and to keeping divorcing couples connected (and attached) to their kids.  Katie produced "A Climate Impacts Study of the Crown of the Continent" and studied human attachment to nature.  She feels the grief and fractures to that attachment to nature as a result of climate change keenly, and is currently working to help build sustainable urban ecological systems, including maintaining the hope and joy that sustains all of us!  Katie directs Home ReSource and lives in Missoula with her husband and two kids.
